Nageshwar, tenth of the twelve, stands between Gomati Dwarka and Bet Dwarka in Gujarat — Shiva as Lord of Serpents, who delivered the devotee Supriya from the demon Daruka in the surrounding Darukavana. Worship here wears the snake as ornament and conqueror of poison — of every kind. The tradition of Aundha Nagnath in Maharashtra (a Yadava-era temple of great beauty) also carries the Nageshwar claim; Indopedia will document both seats with their sources.
